Ryan and Kim Boya first crossed paths in 2017 on Nantucket while working at an event for the Nantucket Food & Wine Festival. They quickly bonded over their shared background in Johnson & Wales University’s Baking & Pastry program, as well as the surprising connection that Ryan knew Kim's sister from their time together at the school. After reconnecting on the island the following year, the couple realized they had something special. Their mutual passion for culinary creativity and commitment to hospitality became the foundation of their future together.
Kim was living & working in the Berkshires when her & Ryan started dating. She made the leap to move to central Massachusetts so they could be closer together. Though far out of reach, it was always a dream of theirs to eventually move back to the Berkshires & open a business together. When the opportunity presented itself, there were many signs that showed them that this was a good adventure for them to embark on together. They packed up & moved to the Berkshires where they reopened Cello on July 31st of 2024.
Today, Ryan leads the kitchen as Executive Chef, designing a menu that evolves with the seasons, while Kim, as General Manager, ensures that each guest’s experience is met with exceptional service, reflecting their shared dedication to hospitality.
